Welcome to the Joe Shortino memorial website. This site is dedicated to the late Joe Shortino and his family. We will continue to update this site on a regular basis, adding pictures, stories and more. We have a number of photographs that we are currently going through as we continue to create a complete online photo album of Joe, his family, and his friends. Joe arrived in California with his family when he was 10 years old. As a child, his dream was to become a police officer. He entered the Navy at 17 years of age and graduated from the Navy Training Center in San Diego in 1974. After 3 years of service in the Navy, he entered and graduated from the Rio Hondo Police Academy, spending many years in the field of security, including 13 years of service at Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo. In 1993, Joe joined the Los Angeles County Police, realizing his lifelong dream and served his community until the present time. Joe loved his family, his work, his music and organizing the family digital photos. He was a dedicated husband and father, a great neighbor and friend. He was loved and appreciated by those who knew him well. Surviving Joe are his wife Lynn; his children, Joseph, Krysta, Gina, Anthony, Daniel and Raymond; grandchildren Melissa, Joey, & Giovanni Shortino, Robert and Andrew Johnson; his mom, Farole, sisters Michelle and Lisa, and brothers Paul and Vincent. The Shortino Family is so very grateful for all your thoughts, prayers and unbelievable expressions of love and concern.

sang two beautiful songs which he dedicated to his brother, at the
request of many, Paul entered the studio the following day, along
with keyboardist John Garrett and recorded them. Please feel
